Guardian Judge Rakesh Kumar asked the eight-year-old child's mother to handover her son's custody to his father after the minor said his father takes good care of his education and he wanted to attend the school in which his father had admitted him.

"Bearing in mind the paramount consideration of welfare of the child, I am convinced that child's interest will be best served if his custody is given to the father and he continues to get education in the previous school," the court said.

During an interaction with the minor, the court noted he was a confident child and had been groomed well and had shown his willingness to continue with the study at his previous school which he was attending while residing with his father.

"Minor has also told his father takes good care of his education and welfare and he wants to stay with his father," the court said and added "stability and consistency in the affairs and routines of children are also important considerations which cannot be allowed to be disturbed." (More)
