Man held for bid to enter AIF station posing as Army officer

A man has been arrested for allegedly trying to gain entry into the Air Force Station at Ojhar near here by posing as an Army officer, police said today.
The accused, Bhalchandra Dilip Ulgude, a resident of Sapoli village in Chakur taluka of Latur district, was arrested yesterday, they said.
"He had tried to enter the restricted premises of the IAF station by showing a fake ID card," P K Borhade, Sub Inspector of Ojhar Police Station said.
A complaint had been lodged against him by one Arpan Dutta who works at the AIF Station.
During interrogation, police found that Ulgude had cheated four persons at Ashok Nagar in Nashik between September, 2015 and February, 2016 to the tune of Rs 3 lakh on the promise of providing jobs to them in the army by posing as an army officer.
The accused has been booked under IPC sections 420 (cheating), 419 (cheating by personation), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (using a forged document as genuine).
Ulgude was produced in a local court today which remanded him to police custody.
Further investigation in the case is underway, police said.
