allegedly killing a woman over an old rivalry, police said today.
The woman, identified as Gulab Wagh (52), was found dead in an agricultural field in Sahapur village of the district on May 15, assistant police inspector Khinvali police station S B Kolhe said.
After investigation, villager Laxman Hilam, 29, was nabbed yesterday and it was found that he had murdered Gulab in an inebriated condition due to some old rivalry.
A case of murder under IPC section 302 has been lodged against the accused.
