Man held for raping teenage girl

A 19-year-old degree student of a college here was today arrested from Musheerabad area on the charge of raping a teenage girl and blackmailing her after taking pictures of the act, police said.
Accused M Pavan Kumar developed friendship with the 17-year-old girl, an intermediate student, around two years ago and called her to his house under the pretext of introducing her to his parents on January 28 this year and when she went there he allegedly sexually assaulted her, according to police.
"From his mobile phone, the accused photographed her while sexually assaulting her and since then he had been blackmailing her that he will post the photos on social media if she did not agree to come with him whenever he wants to," a release from Hyderabad Police said.

On March 13, the accused took her to a vacant house in Uppal area and again sexually assaulted her, police said.
A complaint was lodged by the minor girl and a case was registered against Pavan, the release said.
