Man held for sending obscene pictures of wife to bro-in-law

The Cyberabad police here have arrested a 37-year-old man for allegedly sending 'obscene' pictures of his wife to her brother out of spite.
The accused (name not disclosed) was arrested from Paradip in Odisha on September 20, police said.
The man, who got married in 2007, had moved a family court in Visakhapatnam (where he lives) seeking dissolution of the marriage following disputes with the wife, while the latter filed a case demanding maintenance from him.
As the court gave decision in wife's favour, he filed an appeal. In the meantime he tried to pressurise the wife and her brother to make a compromise and withdraw the case.

On August 11, the accused sent a video and few photos of his wife, which showed her in an obscene way, to her brother through a mobile phone. Her brother, resident of Hyderabad, approached the police last month.
The accused was arrested from Paradip on September 20. A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Information Technology Act.
