Man held with 3.4 kg brown sugar worth Rs 3.40 cr

Police today seized 3.4 kg brown sugar, estimated to cost Rs 3.40 crore in international market, from a 45-year-old man outside local railway station.
"During a search operation in front of a toilet outside Mandsaur railway station, we seized 3.4 kg brown sugar from local resident, Sharif Khan, which he had stuffed in a bag," said Additional Superintendent of Police Ajay Pratap Singh.
He said the value of the seized contraband is Rs 3.40 crore in the international drug market.
The officer said Khan was on his way to catch a train to Mumbai when he was arrested with the consignment.
