Acting on a complaint by officials of the Punjab National Bank, Nuwaon branch, the police arrested the man, identified as Paras Nath Chaube with the fake currency notes of the denomination of Rs. 500 while he was trying deposit the same in the bank, the Superintendent of Police (SP) Umashankar Sudhansu said.
The accused was being questioned about the source of the fake currency notes, he said.
