The weapon, loaded with three live rounds, was found in M B Shyal's baggage at about 8:20 pm by an on-duty CISF personnel, a senior official in the airport security said.
Shyal, who was supposed to take a flight to Delhi, the weapon and ammunition were handed to the police for further probe by the Central Industrial Security Force, he said.
"The man had a valid license. But carrying of weapons and ammunition in the airports and aircraft is banned under law," the official said.
