The incident occurred at about 8:20 pm when M B Shyal's baggage was checked by an on-duty CISF personnel and a revolver with three live bullets loaded in the chamber was recovered, a senior official in the airport security said.
Shyal, who was supposed to take a flight to Delhi, the weapon and ammunition were handed to the police for further probe by the Central Industrial Security Force--the airports security force, he said.
"The man had a valid license. But carrying of a weapons and ammunition in the airports and aircraft is banned under law," he said.
