Man immolates self in front of RDO office in TN

A 40-year-old vendor today allegedly immolated self in front of Revenue Divisional Office here after failing to seek redressal of his money problem.
Rajarathinam took out a bottle of kerosene, poured the content over his body and set himself ablaze in full public view, police said.
He was screaming while some persons tried to douse off the fire. However, he was rushed to a government hospital when he fainted and died after not responding to the treatment, police said.
Police said that the man had come to the RDO office where he had come to present a petition over some money transaction problem.

The incident caused a flutter in the RDO office as a large number of people had gathered there to present petitions to the officer, Police added.
