Pradeep, who belonged to Rajput community in Aswali village here died at PGI Chandigarh last night. He was shot at by unidentified miscreants at Janta road area on May 23.
The district administration has beefed up the security in the district to prevent any untoward incident.
Pradeep's killing was part of the cycle of violence in Saharanpur that began on May 5, when a man was killed, several injured and around 25 homes set ablaze in inter-caste clashes in Shabbirpur village.
The body was cremated here today. District Magistrate PK Pandey, SSP Babloo Kumar and former MLA Mahaveer Rana were also present.
ADG (Law and Order) Aditya Mishra today met the administration officials here and took stock of the situation in the aftermath of Saharanpur violence. He has ordered the officials to ensure that such a situation in not repeated in any case.
Mishra also talked to senior officials over the arrest of Bhim Army founder Chandrashekhar, the main accused in the Saharanpur caste violence, who was nabbed from Himachal Pradesh on Thursday.
