Man jumps to death

allegedly jumped to death from the fourteenth floor of his residential building in suburban Kandivali, police said.

According to police, he was apparently depressed due to financial issues.

The deceased has been identified as Ramassaray Pal, a resident of an 18-storeyed Aman Springs Towers in Dahanakur Wadi area, where he lived with his wife and three children, police said.

As he was not in the house, his wife called him to know his whereabouts, to which, he said that he was in train and that he was on way to his office.

However, in reality, he was near his residential building premises, when he attended the call, police said.

He took a lift to his fourteenth floor apartment, then went to the floor's lobby and jumped off at about 2.30 pm, police added.

Pal was rushed to Bhagwati Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

According to the deceased's family, he was depressed due to some financial issues; police said adding that no suicide note was found.
