Two unidentified assailants killed a 40-year-old man in Sion Koliwada area here Friday afternoon, police said.
The duo, who came on a motorbike, entered the house of Marimuthu Devendra alias TP Raja at MHADA Colony and attacked him with sharp weapons, a police official said.
Minutes later, some local persons saw two persons with blood-stained clothes running away and alerted police.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Police were scanning CCTV footage of the area to identify the assailants, the official added.
Raja had some criminal history and police were probing if it had to do with the attack, he said.
