The clash took place at Balaramapur village under Hinjili police station yesterday following a dispute over irrigation of agriculture land.
The deceased was identified as Dambaru Das (53) while his brother was undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical College and Hospital here. His condition is stated to be critical.
Three persons -- Gobinda Das, his son Sibaram and son-in-law Simanchal Das -- were arrested in this connection, the sources said.
