Man killed inside police station by neighbour during quarrel

A 35-year-old man was allegedly killed by his neighbour inside southeast Delhi's Ambedkar Nagar police station in the early hours today, the police said.
Following the incident, the Station House Officer (SHO) of the police station has been sent to district lines, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Romil Baaniya.
He also said that a sub-inspector and a constable posted there have been suspended and directed to report to district lines.
The administrative action was taken against the personnel for failing to prevent the killing inside the police station, the police said.
Vishal had asked Anil to treat him with liquor since it was the birthday of the latter's child. But when Anil refused, it let to a quarrel between them, the DCP said.
The police were informed about the incident and the quarrelling duo was brought to Ambedkar Nagar police station. Inside the investigating officer's room the duo again started quarrelling.
The police personnel intervened but in the melee Vishal assaulted Anil with a file clip. Anil was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre where he was declared "brought dead", the officer said, adding Vishal was arrest from the spot.
