A 22-year-old man was killed inside Rohini Jail allegedly by a fellow inmate, police said today.
The victim was strangulated to death allegedly after he refused to follow the order of the accused. The deceased was arrested in a theft case and was lodged in the jail.
The deceased, identified as Pawan, lived with his family in Rohini district area. His family said he was arrested in March.
Police said they were informed around 4 am today by authorities at Baba Saheb Ambedkar hospital that a Rohini Jail inmate was brought there and was later declared dead by doctors.
During investigation, it emerged that another undertrial, Kishan, had ordered Pawan to do something, which he refused.
Enraged at the refusal, Kishan strangulated him to death.

Kishan is facing trial in a murder case and was lodged in the jail since 2013.
Police said they are investigating all angles, including personal enmity. They said a production warrant would be issued for the accused since he is currently lodged in jail.
