The man was killed by a leopard near a water body at Gairagaon in Pithoragarh district and the woman was injured after being attacked by a leopard at Badoli village of Pauri district last evening, they said.
The decomposed body of Tara Singh was recovered by villagers from near Gairakhola nearly 70 metres from his home, they said.
Sunita Devi was attacked by the big cat when she was in her kitchen. As her family members raised an alarm the leopard ran away leaving her injured.
