Man kills 35-year-old; uses his body for own murder story

A 40-year-old criminal has been arrested for allegedly killing another man and using the victim's body to draft his own murder story near Dadhel village here, police said today.
Khushbuddin, a hardcore criminal of the district was arrested yesterday along with his wife, accomplice Rampal and two brothers-in-law for killing 35-year-old Sonu Siddiqui and using the victim's disfigured body to prove his own death under Pasgawan police station area, SP Arvind Sen Yadav said.
The criminal disfigured the face of Siddiqui after killing him and left the body near Dadhel village at Pasgawan area on February 3 along with a diary belonging to Khushbuddin, he said.

Though the body was claimed by the accused's wife for last rites, doubts remained as to why the killers after burning the face of the victim to conceal his identity had left clues in the form of a diary, police said.
"To unravel this mystery, the contact numbers were put on surveillance which found that Khusbuddin, assumed to be dead, was in touch with his family," Yadav said.
"During investigation, it was also found that Sonu Siddiqui of the same village was missing and his parents when called, identified the clothes as those of their son," he added.
A case has been registered against all the five accused on charges of murder and criminal conspiracy, police said.
