A 25-year-old auto-rickshaw driver was killed allegedly by his younger brother following an argument over money in Vankaspada area in the district, police said today.
The accused Manoj Dumada, 23, was arrested for the murder of his brother Subhash Dumada, police said.
According to police, the duo used to live with their father in Vankaspada village. His father and Subhash would often argue as the latter frequently demanded money from him.
On Thursday night Subhash once again sought some money from his father, after which there was an argument between the two. His father then informed Manoj about the issue. The siblings then had a tiff and in a fit of anger Manoj hit Subhash on his head with a wooden log, police said.
Manoj was produced before the local magistrate today and was sent to police custody till May 15. He has been charged under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
