Two unidentified persons shot dead a villager named Ashok Paswan and were trying to flee when the villagers caught hold of them and started beating them up, Superintendent of Police Kim said.
One of the man died in the thrashing they received from the villagers while the other was injured and has been referred to the Patna Medical College Hospital for treatment, the SP added.
