Man pushes woman out of ladies coach of Gorakhpur Express
Press Trust of India Thane A 22-year-old woman was pushed out of the Mumbai-bound Gorakhpur Express by a man after she and other women objected to his entering the ladies coach yesterday, Railway Police said this evening.
The injured woman was admitted to a hospital at Kalyan in Thane district, while the accused Dinesh Yadav was arrested and remanded in police custody till June 20, said inspector Datta Vable of Dombivli police.
The victim Rekha Navle and her mother had boarded the train at Nashik.
Yadav's wife and children were also in the same coach. Yadav entered the coach at Kalyan station, but other women objected.
As the train started, a peeved Yadav allegedly pushed Navle out through the door betweeen Thakurli and Dombivli. As the train was slow, she did not suffer serious injuries, police said, saying some passengers got out and helped her.
Other women nabbed Yadav and handed him to police.
