Man rapes minor daughter, tries to set her ablaze in UP

An 11-year-old girl was allegedly raped and set ablaze by her father in Azadpur Teela locality here, police said today.
The minor is battling for life at a hospital with 30 to 35 per cent burn injuries, police said.
The accused raped the girl last night while she was asleep at a house in Azadpur Teela locality under Ekdil police station area here. The father also assaulted his wife who was trying to save the minor during the act, police said.
When the locals rushed to the residence on hearing the noise, the accused allegedly set his daughter ablaze by sprinkling kerosene on her, police said.

The girl was rushed to the hospital with burn injuries.
A report in this connection was lodged by the aunt of the victim and the accused has been arrested, police said.
