Silar Qureshi was nabbed after a joint raid by civic and police officials at the unit in Old Malakpet area here, police said.
Acting on credible information, sleuths of Commissioner's Task Force (East Zone) raided a location along with GHMC officials and seized 24 barrels of animal fat oil (weighing 100kg each), 10kg of dried trachea, 40kg of salted abomasum prepared by melting buffalo and cow fat, they said.
Qureshi and others were running the unauthorised facility, where they extracted oil by melting the animal offal in open large vessels, Task Force Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police N Koti Reddy said.
