Man sentenced to 7 years RI for raping daughter

A local court today convicted and sentenced a 55-year-old man to seven years rigorous imprisonment for raping his 15-year-old daughter in 2005.
Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge B Sai Kalyan Chakraverti held Omer Khan guilty under sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
The scientific investigation conducted by the Investigating Officers helped established the offence, said Assistant Commissioner of Police (Falaknuma Division) Mohd Tajuddin Ahmed in a release.
