Fast track court-I judge K M Tiwari passed the order sentencing Bharat Sav to life imprisonment after finding him guilty of murdering Umesh Devi two years ago.
The judge relied on the deposition of Sav's daughter, an eyewitness, in convicting him.
According to prosecution, Sav had killed his wife with a crowbar in Bhojdih village on July 9, 2010, following a dispute.
Meanwhile, five persons were sentenced to life in a 10 year-old murder case in Siwan district.
The fast track court-I judge Ramdarath sentenced the convicts for killing a person Ramnavmi Chaudhary in Tandwa village on May 25, 2002, over a land dispute.
