Man shoots son following quarrel over property

A 71-year-old man allegedly shot and injured his son following an altercation over property, police today said.
The 42-year-old son had in an inebriated state demanded partition of his father's three acre property yesterday.
The father refused and following a wordy duel took out his licensed 'SBBL gun' and shot his son in the back, police said.
He was admitted to a hospital where is condition is reported to be stable, police said.
A case of attempt to murder has been registered against him and also under Arms Act, police said, adding, the gun has been seized.
