dead in Ballabhgarh here, police said today.
The accused, Kapil, shot his wife, Manju (30), in the head last night, police spokesperson said.
The victim's brother, Virendra, claimed that Manju was often harrased by her in-laws and husband for dowry. Before her murder last evening she had called up her family complaining that Kapil had beaten her again, police said.
Manju, a native of Chhata in Uttar Pradesh, was married to the accused for ten years and had three children with him.
A case of murder has been registered against the accused, police said, adding, a hunt is underway to nab him.
