Man shot at for resisting robbery attempt in UP

A 38-year-old man was today shot at by some unidentified persons after he resisted their attempt to rob him in Bithoor area here, police said today.
The victim identified as Ramkumar, an employee of an insurance company, was shot at by some persons when he resisted their robbery bid in Ramnagar area here, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Surendra Tiwari said.
He was going on his motorcycle for some work when at a secluded place the miscreants came in a Bolero Jeep and tried to rob him, he said.
However, on seeing a truck approaching, Ramkumar raised an alarm following which the assailants shot at him and fled, the SP said.

Upon receiving information, police rushed to the spot and admitted him to hospital where his condition was stated to be serious.
A case has been registered in the matter, the SP said, adding, that efforts were on to nab the culprits.
