A 40-year-old man was shot dead allegedly by some men while he was on his way to pick up his child from school in outer Delhi's Mangolpuri area, police said today.
The deceased, identified as Bunty, was shot in the head yesterday afternoon by unidentified men, police said.
After a PCR call was made regarding a man lying injured, he was rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where he was declared brought dead, they added.
Bunty was a resident of Sultanpuri. His scooty was stopped by a few men who first beat him up and then shot him, police said, adding the reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.
"It doesn't look as if the men wanted to rob him. We are working on all probable angles. The act could have been a result of personal enmity," said a senior police officer.
