Man struck dead by lightning

: A man was struck dead by lightning while talking on his cellphone at the terrace of a house at Sathirapatti village in this district, police said.
The 28-year-old man from Chennai had come to his friend's house in the village for a house warming ceremony. He went to the terrace to take a call when he was struck by lightning and seriously injured.
He was rushed to the government hospital at Sattur, but died without responding to treatment, police said.
