Ashish Arya, who had arrived at the high court to settle an alimony dispute with his estranged wife, suddenly popped in 10 tablets of Alprazolam, a prescription drug used to treat anxiety disorders, in the Registrar's room, Sub-inspector Nainital police, Rajendra Singh, said.
He was rushed to a hospital as he became unconscious thereafter. His condition is said to be out of danger now, Singh said.
Arya, who hails from Lucknow, had come to settle an alimony dispute with his estranged wife, who was a resident of Kusumkhera area in Haldwani here.
