Man wanted in 12 cases held

A man allegedly involved in over two dozen cases of robberies, snatchings, illegal possession of arms and drug peddling has been arrested from Sultan Puri area in Outer Delhi, police said today.
Naresh Singh, alias Satya, (40) was arrested from near Jalebi Chowk in Sultani Puri by the Crime Branch of Delhi police after a tip-off when he was on his way to meet his aides. One motorcycle has also been seized from his possession, police said.
"Singh has been involved in 21 cases of snatchings in areas of Rani Bagh, Mangol Puri, Maurya Enclave and Nangloi. Besides, he is also involved in more than 24 criminal cases of robberies, snatchings, under the Arms Act and drug peddling. He had managed to escape twice from the crime scene," said Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav.
Singh is said to be an active member of Raju Hakla gang. Hakla was running an organized gang of pick-pockets and robbers who were active on various routes of buses running from Sultan Puri and Mangol Puri, police said.
As per police, Raju Hakla is in Tihar jail for more than two years in a murder case registered with Aman Vihar police station.
