A miscreant, wanted in at least 13 criminal cases, including murder, was on Monday arrested from Odisha's Ganjam district, police said.
The accused, Guru Prasad Swain, was arrested from Charimaili Chhak, the Sun-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Aska, Suryamani Pradhan, said.
Swain and his associate hurled bombs at a police vehicle at Charimaili Chhak, the SDPO said, adding, he was injured in retaliatory police firing.
Two policemen were injured in the bomb attack. The police personnel are undergoing treatment at Aska hospital, Pradhan said.
Swain was admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital here after he received a bullet injury in his left leg, the SDPO said, adding, his accomplice fled the scene.
A Mauser pistol, some ammunition and a motorcycle were seized from the spot, Pradhan said.
