Sunil Kumar (30) was arrested from his native village Khurja near Bulandshehar yesterday in a raid by the AATS team of southeast district of Delhi Police.
According to police, in 2010 he had allegedly abducted the girl from her house in Okhla area and had raped her at his native place. She was recovered from his village 5-6 days after the incident and he had managed to flee.
He was arrested after the cops received information that he would be visiting his family and laid a trap for him.
"A team of AATS staff laid a trap accordingly. Soon as Kumar reached the place, he was overpowered and arrested,"said a senior police official.
During interrogation he allegedly revealed that he had been hiding at several places in the adjoining states of Delhi for the past five years.
