Mandawli SHO sent to police lines

The station house officer of Mandawli police station here has been sent to district police lines, while four other personnel were suspended for failing to curb gambling activities under their jurisdiction, police said today.
The orders were issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Omvir Singh yesterday.
"Subhash Chandra Meena, Mandawli SHO was sent to district lines. Four personnel, including a sub-inspector, have been suspended," said a senior police officer.
"It was found that gambling activities were going on in the area. However, the police personnel failed to curb such activities," he said.
An inquiry has been ordered in the matter, the officer added.
