Tripura Leader of Opposition and senior CPI-M leader Manik Sarkar today criticized BJP-IPFT government in the state for bulldozing the offices of opposition political parties.

The Left party had organised a three-hour-long sit in here today to protest against the demolishing of party offices and alleged anti-people activities of the government.

Seven political party and affiliated trade union offices illegally built on government land were bulldozed here on May seven. The party offices belonged to the CPI-M and the Congress.

Sarkar, who was Tripura chief minister for 20 years, said RSS and its wings have been working the state for over 40 years but the Left Front or other government by other political party did not harm them. "But now the new government has adopted a decision to dismantle all the structures of political parties to eliminate any opposition voice."
