The deceased has been identified as Aben Sofia who was staying with her distant relatives. They lived in a rented accommodation in Munirka area and worked in a Gurgaon-based call centre.
"Prima facie, it doesn't look like a murder but we are investigating the case from all possible angles. We are waiting for the post-mortem report to zero in on the exact cause of her death," said a police official.
"At around 7.30 AM, when Sofia's roommate returned to the house after her night shift, she found her sleeping. Subsequently, she also went to sleep without disturbing her. Later, around 11.30 AM, her brother Moses arrived at the flat who found that some liquid coming out from her mouth," the official said.
When he tied to wake her up, blood started oozing from her nose. The brother-sister immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead, police said. As police was informed about the incident, a police team along with FSL experts reached the spot and lifted forensic evidences from the spot.
Investigators said they are investigating the case from all the possible angles including food poisoning and suicide.
