There should be at least one police officer hailing either from SC or ST in general police stations to deal with cases under SC and ST Act, Manjhi said while addressing a review meeting on law and order situation with the police and administrative officials from all districts.
He also emphasised on posting of police officers belonging to minorities community and women at police stations, according to an official release.
There are 940 police stations in Bihar at present.
"Women complainants will be able to narrate their problems in a better way to policewomen at police stations," he said to drive home the point.

The Chief Minister asked District Magistrates and Police Superintendents to stay at night in the villages at least once in two months for hearing problems of the villagers in a better way and said such visits could be done through a roster system of villages.
Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh, state police chief P K Thakur and Principal Secretary (Home) Amir Subhani were present among senior civil and police officers in the meeting, the release added.
