He also took the pledge to protect women and girls.
"Durga Puja is the symbol of victory of good qualities over bad. I have prayed to Goddess Durga and taken a pledge that I will always protect women and our daughters. We all should be determined to come forward to protect women," Manjhi told reporters.
The Chief Minister visited the Durga pandal at Dak Bungalow Chowraha located in the heart of Patna and paid obeisance to the Goddess. He wished that everybody lives happily and in harmony with each other to contribute to the development of Bihar.
Manjhi also called on the people of Bihar to work in united manner for the development of the state.
Durga Puja Committee president and former state minister Sanjiv Kumar Toni welcomed the CM and offered him 'prasad'.
