Manoj Mishra assumes charge as new NFL CMD

Manoj Mishra today took charge as Chairman and Managing Director of state-run National Fertilizers Ltd.
Prior to his appointment as CMD, NFL, he held the position of Director (Finance) in State Trading Corporation (STC), National Fertilizers said in a statement.
Mishra has professional experience of 30 years in various PSUs and cooperatives, it said.
In the last week of May, Fertiliser Ministry had issued orders for appointment of Manoj Mishra as CMD of the NFL.
In September last year, government headhunter Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) had recommended Mishra's name for the top post at NFL.
NFL's CMD post fell vacant after the retirement of Neeru Abrol in February 2014.
NFL has five gas-based urea plants viz Nangal & Bathinda in Punjab, Panipat in Haryana and two plants at Vijaipur in Madhya Pradesh.
The company has a total annual installed capacity of 35.68 lakh tonnes and is the second largest producer of urea in the country.
