Maoist killed in Odisha

A suspected Naxal was today killed in a gunfight with security forces in the forests of Bolangir district of Odisha.
A senior official said a joint squad of CRPF and Special Operations Group (SOG) of the state police had an exchange of fire in the forests of bordering area of Bargarh and Bolangir under Turekela police station area early today.
"One Maoist was killed while one .303 rifle and a gun have been seized after the encounter," the official said.
The encounter has ended, he added.
