Maoist leader surrenders in Bihar

Tej Bahadur alias Tejwa, opearated as 'sub-zonal commander' of Sone-Ganga and Bindhayachal area, surrendered to the Superitendent of Police Manu Maharaj.

He also surrendered one Insas rifle, 124 cartridges and nine magazines.

The Maoist leader was carrying a cash reward of Rs 2 lakh on his head and wanted for 45 violent incidents.

Maharaj said under Maoist rehabilitation scheme, the district administration provided a cheque of Rs 10,000 to his wife Chanda Devi and he would recommend to the state government for payment of other benefits to the surrendered rebel leader.
