Armed Maoists today allegedly killed a 45-year-old farmer on the suspicion that he worked as a police informer in Koraput district today, police said.
Four armed Maoists slit the throat of Siba Mandangi when he was working in a farmland near his village Jogipalur, SP, Koraput, Avnish Kumar said.
Denying the charge that Mandangi was a police informer, the SP said the Maoists had done it to terrorise the people out of frustration after they realised that their support base among the tribals was on the wane.
