Maoists torch equipments and vehicles of construction company

Armed Maoists torched equipments and vehicles of a road construction company in a village in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district, a police officer said today.
About 18-20 armed Maoists raided the site of a road construction company at Majholia village late last night and torched two JCB machines, besides tractors, jeeps and other vehicles, apparently after the contractor failed to pay levy to them, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ranjit Kumar Mishra said.
The ultras also snatched three mobile phones from the construction company employees when they were trying to escape from the spot, he said.
A case has been registered in this connection and raids were being carried out to the nab the Maoists responsible for torching equipments and vehicles of the road construction company, the SSP said.
