In the national capital, the maximum temperature was 39.7 deg C which was one notch above the temperature recorded yesterday.
The minimum temperature was recorded 24.5 deg C which was normal at this part of the year and was two degree less than the previous day, according to the Meteorological department.
On Friday, the temperature in Delhi was recorded 41.7 deg C, while on Thursday it was season's highest at 42.1 deg C.
In Haryana and Punjab, the temperature dropped slightly.

Chandigarh recorded a high of 37.8 deg C, the MeT department said here.
Ambala in Haryana recorded a high of 38 deg C, down one notch than normal while Hisar, where mercury had soared to 45 degrees Celsius three days back, recorded a high of 40 deg C.
Ludhiana and Patiala in Punjab also recorded below normal maximums of 39 deg C and 39.2 deg C respectively.
However, Amritsar reeled under heat wave recording a high of 42 deg C, five notches above normal.
