Una which remained hottest in the region recorded a maximum temperature of 39.8 degree Celsius against 43.2 degree yesterday, while the state capital Shimla recorded a high of 27.9 degree against 30 degree yesterday.
The day temperature remained steady in Nahan at 38.2 degree, while Sundernagar recorded a high of 37.0 degree against 40.1 degree yesterday, followed by Bhuntar 34.9 degree, Solan 34.5 degree, Dharamsala 33.2 degree and Kalpa 22.5 degree.
However, the temperature still stayed three to four degrees above normal. Nahan and Una in the Shivalik foothills remained hottest during the night with minimum temperatures at 26.7 degree and 25.0 degree, being four and seven degree, respectively, above normal while Shimla recorded a low of 19.6 degree, 5.1 degree above normal.
Dharamsala recorded a minimum temperature of 22.7 degree, followed by Manali 22.1 degree, Palampur 21.0 degree, Sundernagar 19.2 degree and Solan 18.6 degree, while Bhuntar and Manali were cooler with a low of 14.6 degree and 12.4 degree, respectively.
The local MeT office has predicted thunderstorms at isolated places during the next 24 hours.
