"I have instructed the Crime branch and all city police stations to get ready with a list of gangsters and hardened criminals so that we can catch them," Maria said today.
The city's new CP, who took charge on Sunday, held a marathon meeting with Senior Inspector and above rank officers yesterday and reviewed the present situation across the metropolis.
The anti-terror cells would be also strengthened, he said, adding that, "The men in these cells would be encouraged in collection of intelligence. Those interested in taking up the cell's task would surely be shifted accordingly."
There will also be training sessions on gathering of human and technical intelligence soon, he added.
The city's top cop also said there would be visible presence of policemen on the streets in a bid to reduce street crimes as they are adopting zero tolerance towards street crimes.
