After parting ways with Randy Jackson couple of months ago, pop diva Mariah Carey has hired a new manager Jermaine Dupri.
The record producer and Carey's good friend will now assume the responsibilities of handling her illustrious career and the new heights, reported Ace Showbiz.
Dupri announced the news during the A3C Hip-Hop Festival over the weekend, where he also revealed that he and his frequent collaborator had been back in the recording studio working on new music.
The two are expected to have an easy time coming up with new hit songs, with Dupri having the credit of churning out the Carey's 1996 Grammy-nominated 'Always Be My Baby' followed by 'Don't Forget About Us', 'Shake It Off' and the 2006 Grammy-winning RnB song 'We Belong Together'.
Carey, 43, dropped Jackson as her manager this year in May while they were still very much involved in judging "American Idol".
