Chandrika, who hails from Odhisa and lived with her husband and two-year-old daughter, was found dead with her throat slit, police said.
She was living in the area for the last two year.
"Neighbours found daughter of Chandrika crying in front of the main gate of the house following which they knocked at the door but no one responded. They checked the back door of the house but it was bolted from outside," said Nitin Tiwari, Senior Superintendent of Police.
Sensing some foul play, they forcibly entered the house and found the body of Chandrika in a pool of blood in bedroom, he said.
Murder weapon was also found lying on Chandrika's body.
Forensic team has visited the spot and collected samples.
