The stock gained 2.76 per cent to end at Rs 6,705.65 on BSE. During the day, it jumped 3.13 per cent to Rs 6,730 -- its 52-week high.
On NSE, it went up by 2.76 per cent to close at Rs 6,705.50.
Led by the gains, the company's market valuation rose by Rs 5,442.32 crore to Rs 2,02,564.32 crore.
With this, the company surpassed the Rs 2 lakh crore market capitalisation (mcap) mark and has become the country's 10th most valued firm.
Its domestic sales rose 23.4 per cent during the month to 1,44,492 units as compared to 1,17,045 units in April 2016.
